Mission
Community Mental Health Council’s (CMHC)
mission is to promote the physical and mental health of residents
internationally. We seek to
fulfill our mission by providing quality, culturally sensitive,
comprehensive, state-of-the-art, evidence-based wellness and behavioral
health services. CMHC is a
model of thorough, innovative, cost-effective, and principle-based
management, which is based on teamwork and interdependency.
In short, we save lives.
Philosophy
We
are committed to the prevention and early detection of psychiatric and
emotional disorders by developing a community that promotes good
physical and mental health.
We seek to fulfill this goal by providing research on cultural, racial, and
ethnic diverse
mental health issues, formal education, advocacy, consultation,
community education, and constructive influence over public policy.
We are
committed to the provision of quality psychiatric/clinical services that
are tailored to the individual and cultural needs of each patient and
client. We are dedicated to
a community-based approach for treatment of the seriously and
persistently mentally ill person to continue or resume functioning as a
part of their community.
We endeavor
to provide outpatient alcohol and drug abuse prevention and intervention
services. We labor to
reduce the impact of traumatic stress from sexual assault and violence
to our children, families, and community.
As a center serving a culturally, racially, and
ethnically
diverse
population, we are committed to developing services which meet the
mental health needs of citizens,
and we aspire to include our consumers in our efforts to plan for their
needs. Furthermore, we are
committed to staff and
organizational
development to aid staff in actualizing these goals.

of choice”
for individuals
living in the Midwest.
